Course creators use EasyWebinar to sell a course through a webinar. The webinar teaches something valuable, builds trust, and ends with an offer to enrol. EasyWebinar handles everything around that moment: the registration page, reminders, the room, the offer, the replay, the follow-up emails and the sales numbers. The course itself stays on your course platform. EasyWebinar is the layer that sells it.

Where EasyWebinar fits
What it's for
Most course businesses have three parts: a way to attract people, a way to turn interest into a purchase, and a place to deliver lessons. EasyWebinar is the middle part. People register for your webinar, watch it and click through to buy, while your course platform keeps hosting lessons and managing students.
How it helps
- It drafts the webinar for you. Create with AI turns one description into a script, pages, emails, polls and offers.
- It follows up by behaviour. Emails and email-tool tags can follow who attended and who clicked your offer.
- It catches late viewers. After the replay ends can redirect replay viewers to your course checkout.
- It shows what sold. Offers Performance and Revenue by Offer report each offer's results for that webinar.
What happens without it
Without a webinar in the middle, people go straight from an email or an ad to a sales page. The page has to answer every doubt on its own, with no chance to teach or take questions. Visitors who aren't ready yet tend to leave.
Why course creators care
It matters most to creators selling a new course, and to educators and trainers who sell cohorts or workshops. It counts most with cold traffic: people who found you through an ad or a search and have never heard you teach.
The EasyWebinar approach to selling courses
Take a typical example. A course creator opens enrolment with a live webinar in launch week, presenting to an email list and answering questions in the chat. The launch closes, but new subscribers keep arriving. The creator wants that same pitch to enrol them without presenting it every week.
A common route is to stitch the launch together from a meeting app, an email tool and a video host. For an automated version, the recording moves to the video host, and the sign-up page, reminders and offer are rebuilt around it. The live and automated versions then drift apart, and each keeps its own list of sign-ups.
The recording of the live session already holds the pitch that worked. What needs to change is who presses play: each new registrant, at a time that suits them, rather than the creator.
EasyWebinar handles both halves of that launch. The creator runs a Live webinar with recording on, then clones it as an Evergreen webinar. The copy plays the recording at a time each registrant picks. The live original is untouched, and the evergreen copy takes over for everyone who joins the list later.
Two details shape this route. A webinar's type can't be changed after you create it, so there is no live-to-evergreen switch, only a clone. And a clone starts at zero: registrants and attendees remain on the live webinar, so the launch's figures stay where they were. How other platforms handle a course webinar is covered in How selling a course by webinar compares, below.
Which webinar type to use
You choose the type when you create the webinar, and it can't be changed afterwards.
| Type | How it runs | When course creators use it |
|---|---|---|
| Live | You present in real time at a set date and time | Launches, new courses, cohorts, and sessions where answering questions live is part of the pitch |
| Simulive | A recording plays at times you set, and you can answer in the chat while it plays | A tested presentation delivered on a schedule, with the feel of a live event |
| Evergreen | A recording runs continuously and each registrant picks a time | The always-on funnel that sells your course every day without you |
Many creators run the same webinar live a few times to sharpen it, then turn the best version into an evergreen funnel.
Build it
With AI
Create with AI builds a complete webinar from a description: the presentation script, the registration, thank-you and waiting pages, the email sequence, polls and offers. It takes about ten minutes, and everything stays editable.
A good prompt says who the webinar is for, the three or four things you'll teach, how long it runs, the tone you want, and what you're selling at the end. A vague prompt produces a generic webinar.
When you reach the offers step, choose the course offer category, then one of three positionings:
| Positioning | What it does | When it suits a course |
|---|---|---|
| Soft Pitch | Education-focused, offer at the end | Audiences new to you, or a high-trust topic |
| Balanced Approach | Value plus a clear offer throughout, strong close | Most course webinars |
| Direct Pitch | Offer-focused, repeated CTAs, strong urgency | Launch weeks and warm audiences |
The script downloads as a PDF so you can present from it. A full build uses about 23 credits.
By hand
Choose Create Manually and the builder walks you through four steps: name and type, schedule, pricing, and registration template. The Education template category is a good starting point for course pages, and My Templates keeps designs you've saved so every course launch can look consistent.
Your registration page
The registration page is the link you promote, so it carries most of your signups. It opens in a drag-and-drop builder with your date, time and timezone already in place.
- Collect what you need. The form starts with name and email. Add a Phone field, or your own custom fields such as the student's current level.
- Ask for consent. Turn on GDPR Compliance to add a consent checkbox you word yourself.
- Know which campaign worked. Turn on UTM Params so each registration records the ad, email or post that brought it in.
- Check it on a phone. Use the device toggle; most registrations come from phones.
- Publish it. The link only works once the page is published.
To keep people on your own site, copy the Registration Widget embed code and paste the form into a landing page or blog post.
Automate it
An evergreen webinar runs continuously, so every new visitor can watch soon after they find you. Its schedule has three options, and you can use any combination:
| Option | What your registrant gets |
|---|---|
| Just-in-time Registration | A session starting within minutes. Set the interval to 2, 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes |
| On Demand | Watch immediately, with a button you can relabel (it reads Watch instant replay by default) |
| Recurring Schedule | Set times, daily or weekly |
Just-in-time is usually the single biggest improvement to an evergreen funnel, because the gap between interest and watching is where people disappear. Just-in-time sessions also run in each attendee's own local time.
You'll need a recording. Upload it and EasyWebinar hosts it (MP4, up to 4 GB), or play one already on YouTube, Vimeo or Wistia. You can swap the recording later from the Webinar Video panel on the Content tab without disturbing your schedule or registrations.
A room that doesn't feel empty
On a recorded webinar, attendees arrive at different times, so there's no shared conversation, and an empty chat panel makes the room look abandoned. Chat Simulation (Beta) fills it, on simulive and evergreen webinars:
- AI Simulation builds a cast of simulated attendees, each with their own engagement level, knowledge level, language and behaviour.
- Manual Simulation plays a chat you script yourself in a CSV, timed against your video.
Simulated attendees make the room look populated. They shouldn't claim results or endorse your course.
Live first, then automate
The type of a webinar is fixed, so the path from a live session to an evergreen funnel is cloning:
- Run the webinar live, with recording on. Recordings land in Library → Recordings.
- On My Webinars, click ⋮ on the webinar's card and choose Clone Webinar.
- Under Clone into, choose Evergreen, and rename the copy so you can tell them apart.
- Choose what comes with it, or Select everything: registration pages, webinar schedule, replay settings, embed widgets, polls, offers, email notifications and integration settings.
- On the new webinar's Content tab, select the recording of your live session.
- Set the evergreen schedule, and turn on just-in-time.
Your registrants stay with the original, so the evergreen version starts fresh, and the original is untouched. Cloning is also the safe way to test a new registration page or offer on a webinar that's already selling: change the copy, not the original.
Sell during the webinar
The enrolment offer is a card with a headline and a button, shown in the room when you're ready.
| Offer setting | How course creators use it |
|---|---|
| Headline and Sub Headline | Name the course and the result it leads to |
| Offer Price | Show the enrolment price, or switch on Free for a free next step |
| Countdown timer | Mark a real enrolment window or bonus deadline. See Countdown timers |
| Button text and URL | "Enrol now" pointing at your course checkout |
| Offer Style | Text Offer, or Image Offer to show the course itself |
You can build offers before the webinar and keep them hidden until the moment comes. On a live webinar you push the offer from the Offers panel in the room.
Polls help too. A question about the audience, such as where they are now or what they want to achieve, keeps people engaged and tells you who is ready to buy. Create with AI can write five polls for you, each with a purpose, such as gauging interest in your offer or qualifying leads.
Paid workshops
Some course creators charge for the webinar itself: a paid masterclass, a workshop, or a paid preview of the course. Choose Paid when you create the webinar, set the price in US dollars, and attendees pay through Stripe as they register. Turn on the Live + Replay bundle to sell the recording too.
Paid registration needs the Paid Webinars add-on and a connected Stripe account. Registration revenue and course sales from offers inside the session are reported separately under Revenue by Source. See Paid webinars.
Getting people to turn up
Registrations only turn into sales if people attend. The Notifications tab handles this:
- Registration Confirmation, sent the moment someone registers, carries their join link.
- Webinar Reminders, timed relative to the session, so they work on evergreen schedules too. A sensible default is a day before, an hour before and fifteen minutes before.
- SMS and WhatsApp reminders (both in Beta) suit the final reminder before a session, when an email may sit unread.
Set the sender name to something your students recognise, and the reply-to address to one someone reads.
The replay
Most people who register don't make the live session, so the replay often reaches more people than the webinar.
| Replay setting | Options | What course creators usually choose |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | Always Available, Expire after days, Specific date | A deadline during a launch; always available for a training-style webinar |
| Experience | Webinar Replica, Custom Build | Webinar Replica, so the replay carries the same offers, polls and chat replay |
| After the replay ends | A redirect URL | Your course checkout or sales page |
The replay link is public while the replay page is on, so treat it as something anyone can share.
Follow up
Follow-up emails send after the webinar to the audience you choose: everyone who registered, only those who attended, or only the no-shows. No-shows are usually the biggest group, and the replay link is what they want.
Attendee Action Follow-ups go further: they send based on what someone did, including how engaged they were and whether they clicked your offer. Someone who clicked Enrol now and didn't buy gets a different email from someone who left after five minutes.
Anyone who buys from an offer receives the Paid Offer — Transaction Success email.
Your email list
If your list lives in an email tool, connect it per webinar from the Integrations tab. Supported tools include Kit (ConvertKit), ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, Drip, AWeber, Keap, Ontraport, GetResponse, Constant Contact and GoHighLevel, alongside EasyWebinar's own EasyCRM.
Map webinar events to tags so your email tool knows what each person did:
| Event | Example tag | What it lets you do |
|---|---|---|
| Registered | webinar-registered | Add the person to your launch sequence |
| Missed | webinar-no-show | Start your replay sequence |
| Watched full | webinar-engaged | Send your most direct course pitch |
| Clicked offer | webinar-hot | Follow up with people closest to buying |
You can also send each person's join link and replay link into your email tool's custom fields, so reminders can come from your own system.
Stream to your existing audience
If your audience already watches you on YouTube or LinkedIn, EasyCast streams a live webinar to YouTube, LinkedIn and LinkedIn Organisation pages at the same time, and to any other platform that accepts a custom RTMP stream.
Your brand
- Pages: every page opens in the drag-and-drop builder, with templates, your fonts and colours, and custom CSS.
- The room: backgrounds, overlays and layout in the live room's Design panel.
- Your domain: the C-Name add-on puts webinar pages on your own domain.
- No EasyWebinar branding: the White Label add-on removes it.
Measure it
Open a webinar's Analytics tab after each session.
| What to check | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Visitors → Registered | Whether your registration page converts |
| Registered → Attended | Whether your reminders work |
| Missed | Who to send the replay to |
| Offers Performance | Views, clicks and purchases for each offer, with a click rate |
| Views to Clicks and Clicks to Purchases | Whether the offer or the checkout is losing people |
| Revenue by Offer | What each offer earned |
People in the sidebar shows the individuals behind the numbers across all your webinars, with each person's watch percentage, replay watch percentage, whether they clicked your offer, and a lead score for engagement. Filter by behaviour, for example high watch time plus an offer click, and Export the list.
A course launch, end to end
- Build the webinar with Create with AI, choosing the course offer category and Balanced Approach.
- Edit the script and pages, add UTM capture to the form, and Publish the registration page.
- Run it live with recording on. Push your enrolment offer with a countdown at the close.
- Send the replay to no-shows, with the replay set to expire after a few days and Webinar Replica keeping the offer on it.
- Follow up with offer-clickers through Attendee Action Follow-ups, and tag them in your email tool with Clicked offer.
- Review Offers Performance and Revenue by Offer, and adjust the pitch.
- Clone the webinar as Evergreen, select the live recording, turn on just-in-time and Chat Simulation, and let it sell every day.
How selling a course by webinar compares
EasyWebinar runs the webinar that sells your course, live or automated, in one product. The enrolment offer appears inside the room, and it can carry a countdown. EasyWebinar is the only platform in this table that does all three.
Course-selling webinar features, from each platform's public documentation (Kajabi for its webinar funnels):
| Platform | Live and automated webinars in one product | Offer shown inside the room | Countdown on the offer |
|---|---|---|---|
| EasyWebinar | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Kajabi | Webinar hosted elsewhere | Not in docs | Not in docs |
| WebinarJam and EverWebinar | Partly (two separate products) | Yes | Yes |
| Demio | Yes | Yes | Not in docs |
| WebinarKit | Partly (live sold separately) | Yes | Partly (claimed on product page) |
| eWebinar | Partly (recorded webinars only) | Yes | Partly (one documented example) |
Yes: documented and built in. Partly: documented with a limit, shown in brackets. Not in docs: not found in the vendor's public documentation.
Why EasyWebinar is the stronger choice for selling courses
- Live and automated in one place. EasyWebinar can run the same course webinar live, simulive or evergreen. eWebinar runs recorded sessions, so it covers the automated half of a launch. See EasyWebinar vs eWebinar.
- The pitch happens in the room. EasyWebinar shows the enrolment offer during the session. Kajabi's Zoom funnel makes the pitch afterwards, through follow-up emails that link to the sales page. See EasyWebinar vs Kajabi.
- A deadline on the offer itself. EasyWebinar's offer editor has a Countdown timer switch. Demio's help docs describe no countdown on a Featured Action. WebinarKit's offer countdown appears on its product page, not in its help docs. See EasyWebinar vs Demio and EasyWebinar vs WebinarKit.
- Your setup comes with you. Clone a live webinar as Evergreen and its offers, polls and emails can come too. Demio's Create On-Demand makes a new automated event, but the original settings aren't copied. EverWebinar's import of a past WebinarJam session needs an active WebinarJam subscription. See EasyWebinar vs WebinarJam and EverWebinar.
Competitor details checked against each vendor's public documentation on 20 October 2026. Features and plans change, so confirm with the vendor before you decide.
What EasyWebinar doesn't do for course creators
EasyWebinar sells your course; it doesn't host or deliver it. Lessons, student logins and course progress stay on your course platform. The offer button and replay redirect send buyers there.
Common questions from course creators
Can EasyWebinar sell my course while I'm not there?
Yes. An evergreen webinar plays your recording on a schedule registrants choose, with just-in-time sessions starting within minutes and an offer shown during the session.
Can I run my webinar live first and automate it later?
Yes. Clone the live webinar, choose Evergreen on the copy, and select the recording of the live session on the video step.
Does EasyWebinar host my course?
No. Your course stays on your course platform. EasyWebinar's offer button sends buyers to your checkout.
Can AI write my webinar?
Yes. Create with AI writes the script, pages, emails, polls and offers in about ten minutes, and you can edit all of it.
Can I add a deadline to my offer?
Yes. Switch on Countdown timer in the offer editor. You can also make the replay expire after a number of days or on a set date.
Can I charge for a masterclass?
Yes, with paid registration through Stripe. It needs the Paid Webinars add-on.
Will it work with my email tool?
EasyWebinar connects with Kit (ConvertKit), ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, Drip, AWeber, Keap, Ontraport, GetResponse, Constant Contact and GoHighLevel, and tags people by what they did in the webinar.
How do I reach people who didn't show up?
Add a Webinar Follow-up with the audience set to no-shows and include the replay link, or tag them with the Missed event in your email tool.
Do I need YouTube or Vimeo to host my recording?
No. EasyWebinar hosts video itself. Importing from YouTube, Vimeo or Wistia is an option if your video is already there.
How do I know which part of my funnel to fix?
Compare Visitors → Registered for your page, Registered → Attended for your reminders, and Views to Clicks and Clicks to Purchases for your offer.
